Meet Our President
Nick Jungheim
I serve as President of Deaf Pathway Global, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing Scripture to Deaf communities worldwide through Deaf led Bible translation in natural sign languages. As someone who is Deaf myself, this mission is deeply personal. I understand firsthand the importance of experiencing God’s Word in a language that communicates clearly and fully to the heart.
I am originally from Chicago and earned degrees from Gallaudet University and the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, equipping me both academically and spiritually for a lifetime of ministry. Over the past several decades, I have served in a variety of roles within Deaf ministry, including pastoring Deaf congregations in Oklahoma. I also spent approximately ten years serving as a missionary with the International Mission Board in Senegal, where I witnessed both the challenges and the profound impact of making Scripture accessible across cultures and languages.
In 2020, I completed a Doctor of Ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, further strengthening my commitment to theological training and global Gospel access for the Deaf. Throughout my ministry journey, my passion has remained the same: to see Deaf individuals and communities encounter Jesus through Scripture in their natural, heart languages.
My wife Lisa and I live in Nashville, Tennessee, and we are grateful to be raising our four children there. Together, we remain committed to serving the global Deaf community and advancing the mission of Deaf Pathway Global so that no Deaf person is left without access to God’s Word.

A Letter From Nick
Dear Friends of Deaf Pathway Global,
As I reflect on all that God has done through our shared commitment to seeing Scripture and discipleship resources come alive in the heart languages of Deaf communities around the world, I am reminded of His continued faithfulness. There have been new challenges, new opportunities, and powerful testimonies of God at work among Deaf believers globally.
Deaf Pathway Global has seen Scripture portions translated and recorded in more heart languages than ever before. A total of 302 translations were generated across eight different sign languages from 52 Bible passages, a tremendous step forward in making God’s Word accessible to Deaf believers in the languages that communicate directly to their hearts. We also launched a new translation project in the Philippines in partnership with the Sacred Harvest Foundation, creating exciting momentum and opening new doors for ministry in the region.
We aim to accelerate translation work in underserved areas and expand digital access to heart-language resources so that every Deaf person has an opportunity to meet Jesus in a language and format that touches their hearts. None of this would be possible without you. Thank you for believing in the mission and standing faithfully with Deaf Pathway Global.
I invite you to continue partnering with us so that even more Deaf families, churches, and communities can experience the transforming power of God’s Word. From all of us at Deaf Pathway Global, thank you for your prayers, your encouragement, and your generosity. May the Lord bless you and your family with peace, joy, and renewed purpose.
With gratitude,
